Free samples for Canadians. A Must Read.
So you want to get some free samples, or free promotional stuff from companies?
Along with the Goods comes some email and sometimes even a phone call and some unwanted junk mail.
To avoid email spam. Simply get a New Hotmail or gmail address.
http://www.hotmail.com or http://www.gmail.com and use this exclusively for freebie hunting/contests. This way your new hobby of finding samples will not get mixed up with your important personal or work emails.
For companies that request a phone number. Simply give them a false one, unless you “truely really really want it, and you believe ( you must use some commonsense ) it will come by doing so.
Junk Mail: Sorry comes with the territory, but usually you do not get much more than you already do. You can not fib or you would receive nothing as a result.
Ok, by now, you understand the “evil side of free samples”. But after a while you get experienced enough to know which ones will truely come, and you will get a sense of what you are doing and have very few problems at all after awhile.
But every newbie to the freebie hunting game, has growing pains, and it usually involves email spam.
Now the Best freebie Hunting for beginners, is to use a freebie forum. A Freebie forum is where common people such as your self gather, and share their finds of where to find free samples. etc.
Our forum is http://www.canadianfreestuff.com/forum/
Sorry its messy, but just used “paint program” and for some reason could not add text today.
Anyhow you see: The orange at the top. If you click on Forum, a Drop down menu will appear, with catagories, and you can click on those if your simply looking for baby freebies for example,
If you simply click on Free samples. You will see 45 pages worth of freebies, with the last post (newest) at the top. This is great for the seasoned freebie hunter, as you can check daily for anything new.
Usually there is at least 3 new ones per day, some days more, some days less. It all depends on the day.
Also there is what We call “Virtual Freebies” with all the downloads you can download for free, and free printables, etc. Usually its free stuff to do online, that does not show up in your mailbox.
You may decide you want to do some hunting on your own, so you can come back and contribute at some point.
Google will be your new best friend.
Simply text out things you may want for free:
I usually use the word sample, province, Canada etc.
Sometimes brand names could also work such as Similac, Huggies, Pampers, etc. Just play around and get lost in the world of online.
The last way is to directly ask Companies for a free sample or coupon.
Example Google what ever company you want whether it be Heinz or Kellogs, and simply use their contact forum, and ask for a sample of something you would like to try. You would be surprised on how well this works.
Agents like BuzzAgents also is great. As you sign up and If you participate enough, you can be chosen to do a free trail on products, as long as you write a well written review.
Also there is Point sites, where you can free stuff, by collecting words or points, But that is another whole other post.
I hope this gives you newbies that are wanting to freebie hunt a better explanation on how the art of freebie hunting is done.
