PIGGY PAINT LOGO lg1 300x247 Piggy Paint Review & Giveaway

This little piggy went to market………………………….. and found a fantastic company called Piggy Paint. You really have to check out this company. It was founded by Melanie Hurley, a stay-at-home mom who became very upset when discovering that the nail polish she was using to paint her daughter’s nails was powerful enough to eat right through a foam plate. Being a concerned parent, she created a kid friendly, non-toxic nail polish called Piggy Paint.

I was so excited to receive a bottle of Piggy Paint Nail Polish and Piggy Paint Remover to review. There are so many different colours to choose from and all the colours have really fun names that every little girl is going to love. Check out all the Piggy Paint Colours Here. The Piggy Paint I received is called “Girls Rule” and this is what it looks like.

girlsrule 150x150 Piggy Paint Review & GiveawayIn order to write a review the first thing I do is test a product to see if it lives up to it’s Company’s claims. Well the smell test is the first. This polish is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalate, biphenl A, ethyl acetate and acetone. It says odourless right on the bottle. Well here I go…………………………Wow no foul, harsh smell. I have a really keen sense of smell and my husband always complains that I must have been a bloodhound in a previous life. LOL There is a very slight smell but only if you stick your nose right in the bottle and I must say it just smells like regular kids paint. You know the kind they use in kindergarten class. I am liking this already.

Piggy Paints are made with natural ingredients and are hypo-allergenic. No harsh chemicals that can be ingested by little ones sticking their finger in there mouths. I like that I won’t get a headache from the acetone smell.

Every little girl you know is going to love these bright coloured polishes. I was pleased to find that the colour I was given to test was not only was fun and bright but covered really well. The pigment is deep enough that you don’t have to apply a zillion coats to make it show up. One coat looks just fine but they recommend applying 2-3 thin coats for best results. Another great thing is Piggy Paint Polish dries really fast. For more chip resistance they suggest to blow dry nails for a couple of seconds with a hair dryer. (Remember low heat setting don’t want to toast those delicate piggies)

You can even thin this polish out if needed with a couple of drops of water.-Now that’s cool.

I also received Piggy Paint Remover to try out. This too is wonderful. It has a very low odour and contains no acetone.remover alone b 150x150 Piggy Paint Review & Giveaway It is enriched with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E which we all know is great for protecting your nails and cuticles and especially delicate children’s skin. I followed the directions and had no problem removing the nail polish from ten little toes. It is noted on the bottle of remover that they have added an embittering agent to help prevent children from consuming the remover and it has a child proof lid as well. Very smart of Piggy Paint because there is no offensive odour to scare the kids away.

I am really impressed by Piggy Paints-Tory Spelling even had a Piggy Paint Birthday Party for her daughter Stella  SO COOL-CHECK IT OUT!
