I think this was a scam/joke. There is no journal available on the official website for sale, and neither myself nor a friend who also put in a reservation received any kind of email notification on or about Feb 1 2010.

i had no trouble with this site. it said will send in the mail shortly. works just fine.
They took an order and said “Congratulations! Your Vancouver 2010 Journal has been reserved. Journals will be available for shipping beginning February 1st. On that day, you will receive an e-mail link with shipping details.”
