Eliminating your credit card debt is one of the biggest ones. If you look at how much interest you are paying on your credit cards each month and multiple it by 12 months then you will soon get a sense of just how much money you could save. If you can't get rid of it all at least curb your spending and save money. We pay our credit cards off every month so I am borrowing the credit card company's money for 3 weeks and paying no interest. If you do pay your credit cards off fully each month then I would recommend you get a PC Mastercard (Zehrs and Superstore are the predominant grocery banners here so some of my shopping has to occur there). I charge everything I can onto the PC Mastercard every month and pay it off fully each month so not only am I borrowing the money for 3 weeks, I am getting free groceries as well!
